Kaththi –

Plot:

The movie is all about the obliteration of agricultural lands by MNC corporations, destroying the means of support of farmers. The movie starts with Kathiresan ( Vijay ) who is a criminal escapes from Jail in Kolkata and travels to Chennai. There another Vijay ( Jeevanandham) shot by some unknown persons and Kathir admits him the hospital. There he decides to take advantage of the situation by stealing his identity. To escape from police he goes to Jeeva’s place and makes Kolkata police to arrest Jeeva from hospital. Actually Jeeva is a social activists and  tries save his village from being taken away by a Cola company which belong to an Powerful industrialist person Chirag ( Neil Nitin Mukesh).

Initially Kathir tries to cheat in the name of Jeeva and leave the country along with his friend Ravi ( Satish ). There Vijay happened to meet Ankita (Samantha) at the airport changes his mind leaving the country. Over a period of time when he comes to know about Jeeva, he takes the lead to save the Farmers land. Kathir clears all the troubles given by Neil when everything shaping up to closure, Jeeva escapes from jail with a help of another prisoner. What happens when Jeeva comes to Chennai and whether Kathir able to get the farmers land back from the Industrialist forms rest of the story.

A R Murugadoss is known for touching real life issues through his movies which we would have seen in Ramana, Thupakki etc.. This movie also deals with the problems faced by villagers. This time he has given a strong message with Masala and Mass of Vijay. To be frank if you have Thuppaki in mind this movie is little bit below standard. This time he wants to grab more attention to Vijay fans and scenes depicted accordingly. When it comes to Vijay’s acting, you can see a large scope that he has improved in acting. He very well emotes in many scenes. This movie also a big tick in his acting carrier. Samantha is just a place holder to fill the gap of heroine. Nothing much about her. Anirudh’s work is really good when it comes to BG score. Every track has a powerful BGM and I think he has special done for Vijay Mass. Songs no doubt everything is good, especially Pakkam Vandhu and Selfie Pulla. Cinematography done by George ( Raja Rani Fame ) has to give a special mention that to in a coin fight.

Overall it is good entertainer with a social message. Perfect for all family audience.

Yaamirukka Bayamey –

Plot:

Kreshna ( Kiran ) a cheat, who hawks medicine for impotency. However government find the veracity and banning his product. Mahanadhi Shankar, a local don who is loosing his sex life along with this son due to his medicine. He asks Kreshna to search for a women to marry his son. There he plays a trick and his son pays him 40 Lacs. In the mean time, Kreshna getting a news that his father owns a property  in a Hill station. So he escapes from the don along with his Girl friend Rupa Manjari ( Smithi ). There they were meeting Karunakaran ( Sharath ) and his Sister Oviya ( Saranya ). They four join hands and makes the property as a Guest house with the help of the money he got from Don’s son.  After this renovation first guest arrive and stay in a room due to this everyone is rapturous. To their utter shock the guest die in a cryptic condition. Thereafter who all came there to stay is ending their lives. So they burry all the bodies in the garden. However police is getting a doubt and staring their enquiry, so Kreshna tells everything on what has happened till now. After hearing his statement, police gives an answer which inturn give a thunderstorm effect to his head.  What the police has said to him? Is the place is really haunted ? What is actually wrong forms the rest of the story with an Interesting climax.

About :

The movie is directed by a debutant Deekay has very well done the screenplay. This is definitely a different movie from other. We would never seen a horror movie with comedy. There is no separate comedy track, however he has been very cautions is handling the comedy which is materialized with the story.  All the characters who acted have a done fantabulous job and this is best movie to Kreshna’s career. A special mention to Mayil Samy, his part may be small who comes at the climax, however he makes the audience enthralled. Music by SN Prasad has given a excellent BGM which sets right mood to the film. There may be some illogical scenes, if you forget all that, this movie is a perfect destination for your family to enjoy a weekend.

Verdict – Yaamirukka Bayamey –  A well scripted Comedy Thriller !!!!!

Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham–

Plot:

The movie is a remake of a Telugu movie Maryada Ramanna directed by SS Raja Mouli. It starts of with Childhood of Santhanam where his Father and his Mother’s second brother kill each other.  So her big brother getting agitated and take a expletive to kill Santhanam’s entire family. His mother vacating immediately from that place and settling in Chennai. After 27 years…Santhanam is staying with his uncle and working in a mineral water company as a delivery boy. He delivers water with his cycle, so the owner dismiss him and asking him get a mini truck in order to continue the work. Disconsolate Santhanam hears that he has a property in his home town and he decides to visit his home town to sell the property, however his uncle warns him not to go. He travels to his home town and happen to meet his own uncle who took oath to kill Santhanam family 27 years before. However he doesnot know Santhanam is his Sister’s son.  So the villain takes Santhanam takes to house and promise him that he will help to sell his property. The villain has one policy where he will not do any wrong things inside his house, as he treats his house like a temple. Some time later both comes to know about each other and Santhanam thinks, if he step out of his house he will be killed by his uncle. So he manages to stay in his uncle house itself and try to escape without everyone’s knowledge. Whether he escaped from the house and killed by his uncle or not forms rest of the story.

About :

This movie is directed by actor Srinath, he tries to delivers the full packed commercial movie. However the screenplay seems to be very average. No doubt Santhanam is the show stealer, new avatar as Hero and he definitely scores in that. He has improved much more in his looks and dancing really good. But when it comes to sad emotions, he doesnot score well. As uausal his one liner makes everyone laugh. There is a train sequence which runs nearly for 20 minutes which is not at all tolerable and that scene is supported by Rajkumar, Siddharth Vipin and Powerstar. Ashna Zaveri makes her debut as a lead pair in this movie nothing much for her. All the songs are ok when we see in visual and Siddarth has done a decent work in this. Naginneedu as villain has good scope of villain roles in Tamil movie in coming years. Overall, we should have any expectation before going to the movie. Just go with family and enjoy without any logic.

Verdict – Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham – Just time Pass without logic.. !!!!!

Plot:

The movie starts of with five IT professionals go on for a vacation, there a girl swims underwater and she happened to see a sage. So everyone decides to follow him. Thereafter everyone asks for a wish and the sage is granting only one wish, which of Sathish’s. A Tamil newspaper dated some months later is what they want. When they read out the newspaper they are seeing many news which mentions a guy called Peter is winning an amount of Rs.2 Crore in a Boxing tournament which is helped by all these five. The Company they work is getting shut down. Initially they don’t believe in the newspaper news, after some of the incident they believe the news to be correct. Hence they start search for Peter ( Siva ) a local guy from Royapuram. Siva happened to meet Hansika and fell in love with her in the first look on the other hand the IT professionals following him and helping Siva to succeed in his love. Then they request Siva to become a boxer and Hansika too pressuring him to succeed in any of the sport to make the love success. There he starts the Boxing and there comes twist one more Peter ( Vamsi ) who is a professional Kick boxer comes as a villain. How Siva goes till finals and Which peter is wining the finals? forms rest of the story.

This is a Debut movie of the director Thirukumaran, which doesn’t seems to be working for him. The way the screenplay scripted lacks complete logic. Also the sport they have chosen which is of a more serious kind in nature, however they have made it has a comedy sport. Siva karthikeyan has come up a long way, he has improved his dance movements so much and has a very good screen presence. Expectation for this movie has gone sky high because of him, as his last three movies were commercially hit. But this movie is a big disappointment. Hansika, in this movie they mention as Nei Kuzandhai… she seems to be like that only. Apart from all the negatives in the movie the one and only positive is Music and Songs.. Anirudh has done a fabulous job and songs were super hit.  Overall, if you don’t want any logic then you will enjoy throughout the movie. If you see only by logic, then don’t ever think of this movie.

Plot:

Of late Its hearting to note that new infantile directors experimenting diverse kind of movies in Tamil like Soodhu Kavvum, NKPK, Pizza, Neram, Moodar Koodam. Thegidi also falls in the equivalent class. The main plot revolves around Ashok Selvan who has successfully completed his Master of Arts in Criminology and takes up a job in a detective agency. He has been given an assignment of shadowing three people and to collect vital information about them. He successfully does that and submits the report. On his utter shock, he sees an information the first person he shadowed is dead because of accident. From that time he gets a doubt how this could be happen. So he again starts shadowing the other two people. In the mean time, he get one more assignment to Shadow which is Janani Iyer. However he falls in love with her and not letting the truth that he is shadowing her. But unfortunately the other two people also mets with accident in front of him. So his doubts going beyond heights and starts investigating on this. On the other hand he gets pressurized by the agency asking for the report of Janani, where he deliberately delays thinking the same thing will happen to her. How he investigates this matter to get the truth and how he saves Janani from this trap forms the rest of the story.

About :

Different and Excellent screenplay from the debut director Ramesh. This is one of the good thriller and director does the screenplay well. Ashok Selvan gives a matured acting and aptly fits to the role. Jayaprakash as usual supports in his role as sophisticated Police officer. No much work for Janani. We need to definitely need to mention about the debut Music director Nivas Prasanna. He has done a fabulous job in terms of BG scoring and off course songs. Cinematographer Dinesh also contributes to this movie and his impressive work made the film look like a Hollywood movie. Overall it is worth watching this movie forget if you see any deficiency when you come out and need to appreciate the young director with this kind of different approach.

Plot:

Shiva ( Sasikumar ) and Kumar ( Naveen ) were childhood friends who were very craze about cinema. Due to their waywardness attitude in the village , Kumar parents separates him from Shiva and moving out that Village. From there the story moves after 25 years where Sasikumar and his friend Santhanam runs a theatre for lease. Sasi and Santhanam tries hard to pull the crowd in to their theatre but everything is in vain and inturn incurs a huge loss. Suddenly they get a notice from Government to pay a huge tax of 5 Lac. However he was not able to get it from anyone, as he already has more debt.  On the other hand his child hood friend Kumar will become a successful Movie director in Telugu and Sasi kumar is well aware of his growth. He plans to meet his friend and moving to Andhra, from there he face a change in his career. Whether their friendship succeeded and how he is getting back the Theatre form the rest of Story.

About :

Director Socrates is failed to impress the audience, the script seems to be very normal and don’t understand how Sasi accepts to act in the script like this. There is no much acting scope for Sasi and his chemistry is not worked with Santhanam and Soori. Both their comedy is below average. Only one song is good to hear. BGM no much value in this movie by DSP. Overall not advisable to watch this boring movie.

Verdict : Magic Missing because of blunt script

Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal

Plot:

Kathirvelan ( Udhayanidhi ) son of Aadukalam Naren, who is a big shot in their village in Madurai and enormously strict and an conventional character.  Kathir, a strong disciple of Lord Hanuman and he was against Love and Marriage. Chaya Singh sister of Udhay and Saranya plays mother role.  Just because Chaya Singh done a love marriage, Naren disown her and shows his extreme anger to her. Due to a small misunderstanding Chaya Singh returns to her mother home from Coimbatore. So to pacify her husband, Udhay travels to Coimbatore and stays in his sister’s house.  He happened to see Pavithra ( Nayathara ) who stays opposite to his Sister’s house and fell in love with her in the first sight.  JP and Vanitha plays as Nayanthara’s parents who are very friendly and not against love.  From there he starts approaching her with the help of his friend Mayil  ( Santhanam ). However Nayanthara is already fell in love with his old friend Gautham ( Sunder Ram ) which he openly says to Udhay. When udhay finds, Gautham is not a good character, he express the same to Nayan. After hearing this Nayan getting more restless to Udhay, as she feels that he tries to break the relationship. Whether Nayan finds the truth? Is Udhay love is accepted forms the rest of the story.

About :

Udhay’s second film in his own banner Red Gaint Movies after OK OK which was a good hit. Good effort taken by him in terms of acting, when compare to OK OK and he has improved a lot. Director S R Prabhakaran’s second movie after Sundarapandian. When we compare this movie with his previous,  Sundarapandian is best because of crystal clear screenplay. However this movie is not so bad, its just going without any grip because of the simple story line.  Nayanthara, no much scope in acting, she does what exactly what the director wants. So don’t have much hope thinking Raja Rani in mind. Santhanam, as usual in friend’s character and sharing the screen presence equal to Udhay. Music by Harris, re-recording seems to be good, but again songs are of same kind. Other characters like Naren,Saranya, Chaya Shingh, her husband, JP, Vanitha gives a decent performance.

It may not be a great movie but you will feel bored and you can give a try.

Verdict : This love will not wring your heart !!!!

Pannaiyarum Padminiyum

  

Plot:

After a very long time, a movie without any violence and with a refreshing genre.  This movie completely revolves around a village back drop, where Jayaprakash ( Pannaiyar ) who introduce everything in his village like Phone, Radio, TV and infact latrine. He happened to see a Premier Padmini car in his friend’s house and he fell in love with it immediately. Post which his friend leaves his car in JP’s house and moving to his daughter’s place. The entire village is attracted by this and due to one emergency situation the car is being used. So Vijay Sethupathi ( Murugesan ) joins him as a driver for this car. From there Vijay, JP, Balasaravanan and Thulasi ( Pannaiyar’s wife ) they look after the car a member in the family. Neelima daughter of Pannaiyar who is so obstinate and take things like Radio, Phone and doesnot keep any new things in their house. Vijay drives the car and helps everyone in the Village with that and fell in love with Aishwarya at the first sight. While everyone gets in to the car, Chellama ( Thulasi ) alone refuse to get in to the car. She insists that she will travel only if her husband drives it. That too she gives a deadline before their marriage anniversary.

So JP decides to learn to drive from Vijay Sethupathi before Anniversary and drives her himself to temple. He struggles to learn to drive and when things we going like this, Vijay will be fanatical and think that he will not a be driver, if JP learns to drive the car. In the mean time JP’s friend daughter Sneha comes to JP’s house, there after Neelima is demanding to give away the car to her. Whether Vijay Sethupathi helps him to learn the car? What is Sneha’s demand ? How they get back the car from Neelima? Whether he learns the car and fulfils his wife’s wish forms an interesting climax.

About :

A big applause to the debut director Arun Kumar ( Nalaya Iyakkunar Fame ). This is already a short film with the same title done by him. Infact that also reached people in youtube and Networking sites. It is a slow paced movie with an Excellent screenplay and we need to appreciate the characterization pick also. Everyone fits to the role which is like tailor made. One more feather to Vijay Sethupathi’s hat, he perfectly fits in the driver character and delivers an excellent output. No words to describe the acting of JP and Thulasi what a chemistry they both have and very good love package between both of them. Sneha and Attakathi Dinesh comes in a guest appearance. A special mention to Bala Saravanan, who makes us laugh with his natural acting. Music done by Justin Prabhakaran which is a strong positive for this movie. All the songs are refreshing good. If you want a experience a good emotion, love, laugh just book your tickets immediately.

A MUST WATCH MOVIE DONT MISS IT !!!!!

Plot:

The movie starts of with VTV Ganesh travelling to Ooty to his friend’s place. Where he is getting a call stating his wife Meera Jasmine attempted suicide. VTV Ganesh a bachelor who is being forced to marry Meera Jasmine.  From there he is returning back to Chennai in a Car and he starts telling his story to Santhanam who drives the car.  He tells him about his life journey from bartender in Singapore to a film producer. His first love in Singapore, a call girl (Swarnamalya), who after a brief affair with him, breaks his heart by getting back with her husband, who had previously deserted her.  This is followed by job where he performs well, which inturns irritates the owner of the company, so he was sacked from there. Post which without any job, he joins hand with his friend Raghu (Simbu) and there he happened to meet Raje, who falls desperately in love with Raghu. However Raghu is already engaged with  Andrea. This makes utter disappointment to Meera and decides to marry Ganesh. Whether he suceeds in his life and what will happen to Meera after her sucide attempt for the rest of the story.

About :

A Movie is nothing, don’t understand why Ganesh want to act in hero role. We can enjoy his unique voice in one or two scenes, however watching him with his voice almost for 2 hrs is a pain. Screenplay is extremely pathetic and there no co-relation between scenes. Nothing much to review about this !

Verdict : Not even worth to watch in CD.

Plot:

First and foremost we need to really appreciate Director Vijay Milton for providing a breathtaking movie. There is no scope for mass, star value, strident music but he has done only with confidence along with the help of Pasanga fame boys Kishore, Sreeram, Pandi and Murugesh. The plot completely revolves around Koyambedu Market, which is the world for four orphans Pulli ( Kishore ) , Settu ( Sreeram ), Sithappa ( Pandi ), Kuttimani ( Murugesh ). These four work there as a coolie who were grownup there. Aachi ( Sujatha ) a wholesale vegetable vendor, who is the care taker for these boys and inturn the boys feels like her Mother. When things were moving normal, Sujatha wants to create a identity for these boys. So they all decide to open a small hotel inside the market. However they doesnot have any source for this, hence Sujatha approaches Naidu alias NKB who controls the entire market. Based on the good faith he have with Sujatha, he agrees to give his godown for hotel space. All the four work to the core and making the hotel business a grand success. There comes a problem for these boys in the form of Mayilu, brother in law of Naidu and also a right hand to Naidu. He uses the Hotel for illegitimate activities and testing the tranquillity of the four boys. So they take a ride on mayilu and which creates anger to Naidu. Angry Naidu bombards all the four and separates each one in different destination. How the four again bring back together and taking revenge on Naidu forms the commanding climax.

Second movie as director after Azhagai Irukurai Bayamai Irukiradhu Vijay Milton scores a positive tick. We need to appreciate his work on screenplay and cinematography. Without any star value he has presented the screenplay in a very good pace. None of the scene are boring. A well scripted story and selection of cast is also an positive in this movie. Dialogues written by Pandiaraj which is the main hero of the movie. Phaa!! what a powerful dialogues. I enjoyed one dialogue where Imman Annachi will converse to Police in boozed state where he will tell about police catching drunks when they come out of Tasmac. That dialogue is extremely hilarious.  All the four boys are mind blowing in their acting. We need to definitely mention about two Girls Chandini and Seetha who has given equal importance. A special mention to Sujatha, Imman Annachi and new Villian Madhusudhan have also contributed a lot to the success. Stunts were choreographed very well and Music composed by Anoop Seelin making debut aptly sets the mood with his music. All the songs aptly fitting the scenes. This movie will get good and outstanding business to the distributor Linguswamy of Tirupathi Brothers banner.

Plot:

The movie starts of with the earlier age of Mohanlal ( Sivan ), who is a local don in Madurai and rules the city completely involving in all illegal activities. Vijay ( Shakthi ) is an energetic boy who is the son of Mohanlal’s Car driver. When Mohan Lal takes his wife Poornima Bhagyaraj to hospital for delivery with Vijay’s father,  he is killed in hands of police officer while he tries to save his boss and wife from a local gang fight. Vijay ( younger age ) also helps them from the rivals in this fight, from there Vijay starts hating police as a whole. Post all these incident, Mohan Lal adopts Sakthi and started treating like his own son. Vijay becomes very attached to everyone including Mohanlal’s wife Poornima his original son Mahat and his Daughter Nivedha Thomas. Also becomes a influential right hand to him.

Vijay happened to meet Kajal Agarwal, who is a local Sub Inspector and fell in love with her in first sight un knowingly she is a police. When illegal activities going heights in Madurai, Pradeep Rawat taking charge as new Commissioner. He immediately taking Mohan Lal in to his custody and warning him to leave all the illegal activities. There Sivan decides to have a police officer in his Gang itself so that  it will be a help to his activities. So he makes Vijay ( Sakthi ) as a police officer and without any problem he started making his activities. At this point there is a blast happening in Madurai where many lose their lives including children. This makes Sakthi to change his mind set and react opposite to his Godfather Sivan. From there the cold war starts between Sivan and Sakthi. Vijay challenges Mohanlal that he will change him to leave all the activities done by him. Whether Sivan changes his mind as per Sakhi’s wish? Who is actually behind the blast gives answer in the climax and forms rest of the story.

About :

Director R T Neason second movie in his career, he tries give a racy and complete family entertainer. The story is good but the way it was presented seems to be very average. There are too many unwanted characters and length almost runs for 3 hrs. Complete logic is missing in many scenes and making us to scrape our heads while watching. All CG scenes were preposterously picturesed. Mohan lal character is perfect fit for the role he has taken. After a very long time, Poornima Bhagyaraj has a very good role and can been seen in many scenes. No doubt Vijay rules throughout the movie.  No work for kajal Agarwal and Soori. Imman BGM adding life and three songs were good especially Kandangi sung by Vijay and Sherya Goshal. For all Vijay fans this movie is a visual treat and throughout they will enjoy. This may not be a great movie, but can watch once because of Vijay and MohanLal Combo Movie !!!

Verdict : May not be a Show stealer for everyone except for Vijay Fans !!!

Plot:

After a long time we are seeing Ajith in a different wardrobe which suits him perfectly. This movie completely revolve around village backdrop where Ajith ( Vinayagam ) and his four brothers lives together and Ajith completely live for his four brothers. Due to which he is not getting married thinking that will become a speed breaker for the affiliation with his brothers. On the other hand two of his brothers were already in love and they struggle to tell this to his brother. With the help of Santhanam, they are carrying out a plan to make to Ajith to fell in love with Tamanah ( Koperundevi ). After a little struggle Ajith fell in love with Tamanah. Tamanah’s tought is Ajith is very tranquil and not pamper in any of the violence. When things were moving fine, Tamanah Insist Ajith to meet her father Nassar who is in support of Ahimsa. When both starting travel to Tamanah’s home town a gang of people trying a murder in the train. There Ajith shows his real face and there comes a Interval break with a small twist. In second half director reveals the twist that the gang is actually trying to Murder Tamanah and not Ajith. This is because of a past unforgettable incident faced by Atul Kulkarni due to Nassar. Where Atul tries to take revenge on the entire family. How Ajith over rules this revenge forms rest of the story.

After a huge success of Siruthai, director Siva is come back with a complete family entertainer. When we talk about the story, it is a very normal story and we would have seen in many movies. The brother sentiments would have seen in Rajini’s Murattu Kalai. However he tries try engage audience with his screenplay. Ajith, he is a one man army in this movie and has very average scope for acting. It was clearly seen from all scenes, that his acting will only engage Ajith fans and not a common people. Paring with Tamanah is a real bad choice. Santhanam’s magic is not working and his comedy is very average. DSP music is a big letdown except for the theme. None of the songs are good to hear or to see it visually. Overall we can watch this once, if you are a true Ajith fan you will enjoy throughout the movie.

After a long time, a very good movie to watch. It starts off with a Flash back, where Nassar wife leaves him and his Kid Goutham ( Jivaa ). Flustered Nassar in highly boozed state tell all negatives about Women to Jivaa, from that time Jivaa start hating Women completely. Shree ( Vinay ) and Baby ( Santhanam )are very close friends from the childhood. All the three grow up together and will be close to each other. They also owns a advertising agency company. Shree is a kind of guy who flirts with women and Santhanam is a kind of guy who doesn’t care for anything. For these three one thing is common and they promise each other that they will never get married. Priya ( Trisha ) as an co-ordinator from the Advertisement company and starts working with these three for a Project. When things were moving fine suddenly Vinay and Santhanam is getting married, which gives more irritation to Jivaa. From there they were separated each other. On the other hand Nasser’s wish is Jivaa to get married before he dies. How Trisha changes Jivaa to become normal? Why Santhanam and Vinay getting married despite promise to Jivaa? Whether Nassar’s wish is succeded? The rest of the story gives answer to these questions.

Director Ahmed’s second movie after Vamanan. When compare to his to earlier movie he scores double in this. Movie is very neatly scripted and very nice cataloguing shown about friendship, Love, Relation between Father and Son. For Jivaa, this is one of his best movies and done a great job. Vinay, effortless acting and done as what director wants. Santhanam’s one liner rocks completely. However he should stop making comedies at the cost of others. Nearly for the past 10 years one heroine who rules kollywood is non other than Trisha, she looks still the same and she is absolute gorgeous. After a long time a very good role for Nassar and he done with the perfection. When we speak about music, Harris music is good in this but many seems to repetitive. One more strong positive is Cinematography, Madhi has done extremely awesome job and foreign location is shoot is a visual delight for every eyes. Director could have decrease the drinking scenes as there are many scenes from start to end. Overall it is worth to watch.

Plot:

The movie kicks off with Venkat Prabhu’s Brand line “a Venkat Prabhu Diet” which is written in a barricade. Karthi ( Sugan ) and Premgi ( Parasu ) is chased by police, there the flash back starts. Both were friends from Childhood, Karthi a charismatic and striking hunk who makes all the girls he see to fell with him instantly. On the other hand nothing works out for Premgi. Hansika ( Priyanka ) a gorgeous girl friend of Karthi work as a Media reporter. In an Alcoholic party hosted by Panch Subbu ( brother in law of Karthi ) where he was obsessed by Dharika which in turn spotted by Hansika and as usual there is small misunderstanding fight between them. This scene may remind you Pancha Thanthiram. Both Karthi and Premgi travel to Ambur for an inaugural of their company’s new showroom. The chief guest  at the Inaugural ceremony is  Varadharajan ( Nazzar ) a big business tycoon, who is also suspected of several illegal dealings and the same is investigated by CBI officer Sampth ( Riaz Ahmed ).  There Karthi happened to take an interview with Nazzar who in turn impressed with him and has a idea to tie a knot between Karthi and his second daughter. This gives more irritation to Nazzar’s first son in law Ramki.

On the return journey, Karthi insists Premji  for eating Biriyani and they search for it. There they finds a road side Biriyani shop. Here they meet a scorching Maya ( Mandy Takhar ) who insists to accompany her in her hotel room. Initially Karthi refuses, but over a point of time both were unable to resist the temptation and agrees to accompany her. After Several rounds of Alcohol they both are perplexed. When Karthi woke up in the morning, he was at a utter shock and seems him sleeping in his car alone in a highway. When he tries to recollect, he was not able to remember anything. So he again travels to the same beach resort in search of Premji, there he finds him and one more shock is added here, as Nazzar was murdered during that night. From there they start to escape from police who thought both of them murdered Nazzar. However both of them confused on how this murder has happened? What is exactly happened in that night ? who is behind this murder ? form the rest of the story.

Venkat Prabhu is illustrious for his ground-breaking thinking in his Flicks like Chennai 28, Saroja, Goa and Mankatha comes with his Diet in Biriyani. When we weigh against with his previous movies, he tries to give a racy murder mystery. However it may not be a implausible due to the weak spot in detail on the scenes of removing the suspense knots. My sense is, he should stop using the same characters ( like Nithin Sathya, Vaibhav, Jai, Aakash ) even though they come in a guest manifestation. This seems to monotonous and he need to experiment apart from it. Apart from all these things, we should appreciate Director astuteness on moving the screenplay without a gripping story. Karthi has done a fabulous job when compare to his previous flops. To everyone’s surprise Premgi is sharing equal space from start to end. Even in the hot song he is present. But the chemistry works for both of them. At the same time he was cornered which is highly repetitive. No big work for Hansika, she comes around five to six scenes. Uma Riaz has got a good rough and tough role and fulfils the same. Other characters like Nazzar, Ramki, Subbu, Sampath, JP exactly done what director wants. Yuvan’s 100^th movie, BGM adds value and three songs are good, but when compare to Mankatha this movie is of low standard to Yuvan.  

Overall we can definitely watch, when we forget about logics in few scenes

Plot:

The movie opens with a violence in a law college, which is instigated by the law minister Sadasivam, as his demand for the seats in Minister quote is not met. Three students were beaten to death due to this violence. Police and Public is well aware that this incident is due to the corrupted Minister but keeps quite due to the power he has in his hands. Apart from this the Minister takes his brother Easwaran ( Vamsi Krishna ) in parole for 15 days from the central jail, who is very arrogant and indulging in many unsocial activities like Murder, Rapes.. Gunsekaran ( Vikram Prabhu ) a common man who completed Viscom and searches for a job take the responsibility in his shoulders to teach a lesson to the minister. So he follows Vamsi Krishna and kidnaps him. He is hiding him in a unfinished rest room in a construction site. Vikaram’s plan is to have the minister arrested due to the violation of bail  against his brother. During this Vikram happens to meet Surabhi an engineering college student who fell in love with each other. Four days Vamsi is traumatised  without any food or water, on the other hand the minister gets arrested by Aravindan ( Ganesh Venkatram ), an honest police officer. Post which Vikram releases Vamsi Krishna. What is the reaction of the frantic Villain,  how he is finding who has kidnapped him  and how Vikram trounce forms the rest of the story.

About :

Second movie from Director Saravanan Engayum Eppodhum fame. Again he has taken a good subject on Social Interest with a Super hero attached to it. When we compare it with his debut flick this movie lacks on screenplay, some of the scenes seems to be more cinematic. The story is the inspiration of an Law college incident happened in Chennai. One good thing even though he tries to show Vikram Prabhu as an super hero, on the other side he equally shared the screen presence to Villain Vamsi Krishna.  Even though this may not be a great movie to saravanan, you will not get uninterested. Surabhi is a good choice and looks like a doll. She has a very good scope for her role and the complete second half revolves around her. Music Director Sathya has again done a good job, re-recording and songs are good.  Editing and Cinematography also adding value. Overall nothing wrong in watching this movie. But don’t have any expectation like Engayum Eppodhum !!!

Plot:

This movie is all about friendship, revenge & Love. You all got the answer ! Yes this movie it typically like Subramaniyapuram and a mix of Renigunda, Thoonga Nagaram, Goripalayam, but with one interesting twist at the end. Four Orphan friends Saravanan (Arulnidhi) , Pazhani (Sulile Kumar), Senthil (Pawan) and Aarumugam (Murugadoss) from infancy who doesn’t have any job except pilfering and always boozing. Poorna appears as Arulnidhi’s girl friend who is a daughter of Local High Interest Money lender Jayaprakash ( Kandhuvetti Rajenderan ). When things we going fine, all the four happened to lock in to a dispute with a local rowdy and he revenges to murder them. At the same time, they again lock in to a dispute with the local inspector and he too revenges to encounter them. Finally when Jayaprakash come to know the love of her daughter, he instruct his people to murder Arulnidhi and friends. Eventually one of his friend Aarumugam is getting murdered and everyone is confused about this execution and start taking revenge on  all the three who they had a dispute. Finally they come to know, all the three is not the accused and there is some other person behind this execution forms the climax with a twist.

Movie is directed by Debutant Ganesh Vinayaac who has given an average debut flick. The story is of as usual kind and only climax is bit different. Also don’t understand why people always portraying Madurai City as a negative place with full of local rowdies, Local Knife fights with cold blooded murders etc etc.. Again too much of boozing scenes in this movie. Nevertheless there is no point in putting a small disclaimer in all boozing scenes. Censor board should be very strict on all these things. This movie is definitely not for children and family and people should avoid taking them. Mayil Swamy has done a tiny character as usual in a intoxicated condition, but has a decent comedy. Nothing much on songs and background score. The movie is very average and will not fly high in A & B centres and very doubtful in Cities. After Mouna Guru, had a high expectation on Arul Nidhi, but he fails to impress the audience this time.

Plot:

The movie starts in Modern Kailash, where Vinayagar jogging in a treadmill, Murugar playing Temple Run in an Ipad, Parvathy ( Deva Dharshini )carrying a Iphone in her hand. Naradar ( Mano Bala )  with a guitar instead of Thambura was coming to meet Lord Shiva, ( Punch Subbu ) for an assignment given to him. There Lord Shiva monitoring the world through a I Mac, then naradar started showing four profiles to Lord Shiva. Where director introduces the main four character Jai, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan and Raj Kumar. Ramarajan ( Jai ) is a Ayurvedic Sex doctor following in the foot steps of his father where he falls in love with Jayshree ( Niveditha Thomas ), on a period of time, both the families accepts for the wedding. VTV Ganesh is the petrified husband a local female rowdy Swarna Akka. Gopi  ( Sathyan  ) son of a local Corrupted MLA where the show a very big cut outs and spends money lavishly. Krishna ( Raj Kumar ) wants to become a hero in Venkat Prabhu’s movie. Four of them decides to go to Bangkok for Jai’s bachelor party before two weeks of his marriage. Where they drink over their limits in a pub, to their surprise when they woke up, they were found themselves in an island surrounded by water. They get confused on how they landed there. Then it is shown that Lord Shiva is playing a game with them. What is the assignment given to Naradar? How these four again escapes from the island? What is the motive of Lord Shiva? Forms the rest of the story.

About :

It may not be a great debut for the Director Chandru associate of Venkat Prabhu, who is failing to impress the audience on this fantasy flick. We should appreciate the concept of this movie, however it got messed up in the screenplay. Many scenes reminds many movies and don’t understand why he want to pull Power Star and Sam Anderson. In one scene Rajkumar will tell that the story is like Hangover, but Jai will deny on that, when all the four in the island, again Rajkumar will tell that it seems to be like the movie Cast Away. In another scene Manobala ( Naradar ) asks to Subbu ( Lord shiva ) about the next plans on the four people,  There Manobala tells since the mood of film is getting dull and the audience will start putting in Facebook that first half is super and second half is mokkai. So it is very obvious from Director’s point of view, as a audience everyone think that the movie is like Hangover, Cast Away, NKPK and a boring screenplay. At some places you will laugh and there is no much scope for acting for the people who have acted. Nothing much on music and songs. Overall it is a waste of time watching this movie.
